What we collect

When you request a match or contact us, we ask only general questions: who needs care, the city or area you're looking in, the type of care you're considering, an optional preferred language, and how to reach you (name, email, and optionally phone).

We do not collect medical information. We never ask for a diagnosis, medical history, medications, or health records, and we ask that you do not send them to us.

How we use it

We use your information to help you understand your options and to connect you with memory care communities that may fit your needs and location. With your consent, we and the communities we connect you with may contact you by phone, text, or email about memory care options.

Your consent and choices

Consent to be contacted is never a condition of reading any guide or using this site. You can ask us to stop contacting you at any time, and you can ask us what information we hold about you or to delete it.

Sharing

We share the details you provide with memory care communities you ask us to connect you with. We do not sell your information to unrelated third parties.

How we're paid

Guiding Hearth is always free for families. Participating care communities pay us a flat fee when we help a family connect with them. We never charge families and never take a percentage of anything.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect the information you share with us. No method of transmission over the internet is perfectly secure, but we limit what we collect on purpose.
